- Every transaction categorized, with nothing left in “Uncategorized”
- Owner draws, contributions and personal expenses separated
- Fixed asset purchases identified for your CPA
- Accounts receivable and payable reviewed and cleaned up
- Payroll and sales tax liabilities tied out
- 1099 contractor payments identified

FAQ
Tax season prep FAQs
Do you prepare and file my tax return?
No. We focus on bookkeeping. We prepare clean, reconciled, tax-ready books and financial statements for your CPA or tax preparer to file from.
When should I start preparing for tax season?
As early as possible. Ideally your books are cleaned up and closed for the year in January, giving your CPA plenty of time before business tax deadlines in March and April.
My books are a mess and taxes are due soon. Can you help?
Yes. Reach out right away. A focused year-end cleanup can often be completed quickly, and if needed your CPA can file an extension while the books are finalized.
What does my CPA receive?
Typically a year-end Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, general ledger and reconciliation reports, or accountant access to QuickBooks, whichever they prefer.
Will clean books lower my CPA's bill?
Often, yes. When your CPA doesn’t have to fix your bookkeeping first, they spend less time on your return, and you’re less likely to miss deductions.
